The Advanced Nursing Foot Care course with Whole Health Care is unique...
The theory portion is done online. You'll gain access to the theory once you register and pay.
The clinical is an intensive class with a low instructor/student ratio. Guided clinical activities are designed to meet course outcomes and integrate knowledge using evidence-based practice.
This course is student-centered, engaging, and challenging. Foot Care Nurses, experienced in daily practice, support you in your clinical component with first-hand knowledge and practical judgment.

Course Theory
The course is delivered in a cohort-based online format, however you can proceed at your own pace throughout.
Students review assigned content which may include academic papers, information brochures, videos or more.
You will complete exercises and participate in monitored discussion forums.
A variety of quizzes and interactive self-knowledge activities provide you with feedback on your mastery of information.

Active nursing license in BC and are in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and midwives (BCCNM)

REFUNDS:
Due to the nature of the content delivery, no refunds are provided once a person has logged into a course. If you don’t complete both theory + clinical for your registered dates you will receive an incomplete and will need to register for a separate clinical course at your own expense ($950).
COURSE FORMAT:
Theory is completed through our online learning platform.
The clinical portion is a 3-day intensive from Friday-Sunday.
COURSE ACTIVITIES:
This course is online/classroom based. The clinical portion involves practical application of skills with supervised assessment performed on clients and fellow students.
All foot care instruments, supplies and podiatric drills used during the clinical portion are provided for the duration of the program.
ASSESSMENT:
The course is graded on a pass/fail basis. Students must complete all required activities to be eligible to participate in the clinical practicum. They are required to bring a portfolio of completed assignments to the clinical for discussion. Students completing both the online and clinical practicum are provided a Certificate of Completion.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Scrubs are to be worn in the clinical. Please wear closed-toed shoes.
Students are welcome to bring their own pre-fitted N95 mask.

How does this course benefit me?
Our training is for those nurses who want to ensure immediate success while completing quickly, allowing you to start a business in foot care or gain employment as a Foot Care Nurse (FCN). The course follows the standards as laid out by the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN)
Does the online portion need to be completed before the start date of the in-person clinical?
Yes!
Is the clinical portion done off-site?
The clinical is done at Whole Health Care: 257 Seymour Street, Kamloops, BC
Will I be certified with this course?
You will receive a Certificate of Completion once you have completed the theory and clinical.
Is there a bursary or grant I can receive?
Yes! You can apply for a member education bursary through BCNU. If you are Métis, you can contact your Métis society to inquire about funding.
Can I begin a business once I complete the course?
Yes! Successful completion of Advanced Nursing Foot Care course will allow you to set up your own foot care business.
Is a kit provided at the end of the course with supplies and tools?
Because methods to provide foot care are diverse, no kit is available at the end of the course. We provide all supplies and tools throughout the course.
Do you offer refunds?

Is additional training offered?
Yes! Whole Health Care provides additional training options for Foot Care Nurses.
Individual mentoring and support, instrument reprocessing, and Onyfix & Podoexpert certification are all available upon completion of the Advanced Nursing Foot Care course.
