Hi there! I’m Colleen Thom, founder and lead educator of Whole Health Care.

Following years of experience in Peri-operative Nursing, I experienced a health challenge. I chose a new career direction. Although caring for feet did not appeal to me immediately,  I researched and discovered the demand for foot care. There were few Foot Care Nurses available. I trained as a Foot Care Nurse and began Whole Health Care.

Providing foot care in Long Term Care facilities and First Nations communities, I recognized that Health Care Assistants are valuable members of the foot health team. They are curious and want more knowledge about foot conditions. That is why the Foot Care Assessment for the Health Care Assistant course began.

The Foot Care Assessment for the Health Care Assistant course teaches Lower Limb Assessments.  Together we can aid in limb preservation.
